Our Team
James E. Driskell, CPA, PFS, CPC - Owner
James E. Driskell is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accounts. He holds the Personal Financial Specialist designation issued by the AICPA, he is a Certified Professional Coder (medical claims coding) and holds the Series 6, 7 and 63 securities licenses.
Mr. Driskell began the firm in 1990 and personally practices in the areas of corporate, individual, trust and estate taxation, qualified retirement plans, individual retirement planning, representation before the Internal Revenue service, executive compensation planning and business advisory services with interests in medical practice management and billing.
Mr. Driskell graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and later attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham to complete a Major in accounting.
In addition to expanding the firm in the areas of taxation and medical management/billing, Mr. Driskell enjoys his time aloft as a private pilot and donating time to Mercy Flight Southeast, an organization assisting those in need of medical care with private flights and disaster relief efforts. Additionally, he enjoys golfing, fishing and spending time with his wife of 31 years and their two children.

Milicent has received a Bachelor's Degree in accounting from The University of Alabama and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She comes to Driskell CPA Firm from the private sector after working in various industries such as construction supply and media/publishing. Milicent has experience in accounts receivable, including credit and collections, accounts payable, cash management, general ledger accounting and payroll.
Tori graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration with a major in accounting. She came to the firm in 2009 and has experience in payroll, cash management, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and financial statement production. She aspires to become a CPA in a few years. She was born and raised in Birmingham, AL and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
